About the Author
This website was created by an amateur dramatics enthusiast with a real passion for the stage.
My journey began while helping raise funds for my children’s school, performing in Christmas pantomimes. Over 10 years, we raised more than £50,000 — and I loved every minute of it! I especially enjoyed playing the dame, and I’ll admit, I also relished the chance to be a little bit bad on stage.
I’m currently a proud member — and committee member — of St Peter Players. Some of my favourite roles include Rod in Calendar Girls, Baloo in The Jungle Book, Owen Newitt in The Vicar of Dibley, and most recently, Slimeball in Jack and the Beanstalk.
In my professional life, I manage websites for several clients, so I decided to combine my skills and passion to build this directory. My hope is that it will inspire more people to get involved in amateur dramatics, and give societies and affiliates a place to promote their shows, advertise services, and connect with like-minded theatre lovers.
The site will be maintained in my spare time — a true labour of love for the amateur dramatics community.
